HOW TO USE
Use UniversalCall like you use any telephone
With UniversalCall, you pick up the phone, hear the dial
tone and dial the telephone number of your choice. There are
no extra numbers to dial and no special routines to follow.
It’s that simple. You don’t have to be an engineer
to use our service.
When someone calls you, they dial your number
Behind the scenes, your number looks very much like an e-mail
address. This number instruct the call to travel over the
Internet and through our network to the phone adapter we sent
you. Your phone rings, and all you have to do is pick up and
answer it.
WHAT IS REQUIRED
All you need is a high speed Internet connection and
UniversalCall Phone Adapter.
High-speed Internet connection (also known as Broadband)
is a connection to your office that provides fast access to
the Internet. These connections can be DSL or Cable modem
such as Verizon DSL, Optimum Online, Road Runner.
And if you'd like to hook up your computer to surf the web
at the same time, it's easy to setup also. You simply plug
a networking router (use one you have, or buy one from us
during the subscription process at a 50% discounted rate)
into your Cable modem or DSL modem. This allows you to 'share'
your high speed Internet connection. Then plug your phone
adapter and computer into the router. You're talking on the
phone and surfing the net.
The way the UniversalCall Phone Adapter connects and uses
internet to transfer voice
to your telephone. Personal Computer is not mandatory. However,
it is necessary in configuring your devices.
HOW TO INSTALL
You can be up and running within minutes of receiving your
UniversalCall package. We send you everything you need to
get the UniversalCall phone service, right down to the extra
cable wire. Best of all, there’s no technician, no wiring
in the walls, and no technical experience needed! Setup usually
takes less than 5 minutes.
Easy Installation
Plug in your UniversalCall phone adapter (the UniversalCall
analog to digital phone converter) into your high speed Internet
connection (Cable modem). With DSL modem, a basic router is
required. So first plug in your DSL modem in your router.
If you don't have a router we can send you an excellent router
or similar at a deeply discounted price.
Then take any standard telephone and plug it into the phone
adapter.
